On the way back from dinner we were talking about tractor supply having chicks available right now. Naturally my 9 year old piped up and said he wanted one. We told him because we live in the city limits it’s not allowed. Real sharply he snapped back that no one should be told they can’t have chickens in America and that he was going to be mayor when he got older to get the rule changed.


Now that I know he’s started in the right direction I just got to get him through high school still drinking the red koolaid.

I remember when Irish Jr. got his first paycheck when he worked for Gamestop. I think he made $8 an hour and it was during Christmas season so he had about 32 hours. He was pretty excited thinking he was going to bring home $256. I remember trying to tell him that he wasn't going to bring home that much.

"Oh yeah... I've calculated it."
"OK then..."

He was bummed out about taxes for a few days after he got his check.
