I like daylight Hooters that waspreviously mentioned or wobble to the gobble if I can think of anything else will let yall know. I also like Hooters plain and simple. I do not want to use a previously used name surely we can come up with something new as a team. I will be hunting mostly Wilcox co but also picked up some ground in Sumter and Marengo to hunt but probably will not leave Wilcox co.

If the season gets y’all wanting to see some different scenery let me know and I will possibly set up a guest hunt on my place.

I'm good with daylight Hooters don't really matter to me. I'll be on private land in Calhoun county and public all around choccolocco.

Well the turkey gods are gonna hate me ....had a gobbler at 60 yds he moved within ....55yds and I was I was waiting on 50. He was almost there and 4 jakes ran into the field and headed for the gobbler and he left ...so i shot one of the damn Jakes

Yeah I am glad I did also ...I hate shooting them damn jakes but they needed shooting for running my gobbler out of the field ....that ole gobbler didn’t want any part of them 4 jakes. And the jakes didn’t want any part of the ole 835. I was gonna buy a browning bps but hell the Mossberg surprises me every time.

Got my butt kicked all weekend. Only gonna get 1 hunt in next week. Y'all give them hell.

Got my tail kicked as well, I was covered up in gobbling this weekend, I set up on the same bird both days and he would gobble at anything that made a noise, until he hit the ground. Caught one glimpse of him and his flock....lol....he had at least 12 hens and 3 or 4 long beards with him. They still grouped up on our club, and the hens ain’t laying yet. So the hens staying with em all day is hard to get them to gobble. I think I may sit out this weekend and give myself some rest. Plan on hitting April hard

I am trying guys only get to hunt mornings on the weekends. I have gone in the afternoon some but never have much luck in the afternoon. I have come close several times hopefully I will get one soon.

The only time I've had luck in the afternoon, is out of state.

Went this afternoon and struck out. Headed to Lamar co in the morning.

I have to add an update, so far this has been one of the best seasons I’ve had in 4-5 years even though I’ve only killed 1 lovesick 2 year old. I could’ve pulled the trigger on 2 other birds but just felt like the shots were marginal at best due to saplings/brush and don’t want to booger one up but hunt them another day. Good luck fellas!!

Been around a lot of birds myself. I wish they would gobble more maybe they will start.

Ok got a nice Rio yesterday morning at 1050.
19.5 lbs, double beard, 1st beard 9.25 inches 2nd beard 9 inches.
Right spur 7/8 inch, left spur 1 inch. I'll post pictures when I get home this weekend.

Awesome Hootn! I have got to look into doing an out of state hunt sometime. My brother and I talk about it every year.

I’ve been on birds this past week. Just haven’t been able to seal the deal again yet. Slept in this morning but gonna try again in the morning if the weather looks okay.

Sorry guys. Wish I could help us out some more. It’s not from lack of trying haha. I’ve sat down on enough gobbling birds this year that I should’ve at least killed 1 or 2 more. Feels like I’m jinxed.

I finally got one yesterday nothing special short beard. I have trouble posting pictures but may can try to figure it out if someone can post the picture I can email them. I am still trying to get another one been close every time I have gone with the exception of a few today's including today. I am off all day and the weekend of course the weather is about as bad as you could ask for turkey hunting on my day off.
