I've been bored with nothing to do at work this afternoon so I've been jotting down name ideas as they pop in my head. This is what I've come up with, but it really doesn't matter to me what we are called.

Looks like we got a good team! Some how the stars have aligned and I’m going to be able to hunt almost every morning opening week. Wife and daughter outta town with grandparents for spring break so I’m planning on staying at the farm and heading into work after a couple hours chasing them.

I’ll be hunting Bibb co, Lee co, and Macon co.

I won't be able to hunt near as much this year as I have in the past. Mainly just the weekends so I might end up having 14-15 days in the woods total, possibly more if I get a wild hair and just decide to be late to work a couple days here and there. But I do have a couple birds lined up and I'm hopeful that this will turn out to be a good season for me.

I'll be on our land in Coosa/Elmore. Might also have a hookup in Tallapoosa and plan on hitting a couple different public tracts if my private land birds aren't cooperating.

Going with a buddy to his place outside of Hope Hull Saturday morning. He's got a ton of birds so hopefully we'll have some success. If not I'll probably try my place in Coosa Saturday afternoon and Sunday.

I went and listened this morning and pulled a camera card at another spot, I heard 2 or 3 different birds gobbling pretty good so I probably won’t sleep very well tonight anticipating tomorrow. I think I’ve got a good bead on where they were roosted, whether or not they roost in same spot tonight is the question.

I feel your pain. I'm about to beat my head on this keyboard if 3:00 doesn't hurry up and get here so I can head up to the country and sight my new gun in. I might get lucky and get an hour or two of restless sleep tonight.

Not a peep here this morning. Gonna hit my place tomorrow. Had one gobbling good there last Saturday and also have a field bird on a pretty good pattern mid day. Maybe I can get on one of those two.

Well He was roosted in same area as yesterday. I made a dumbass call on where to set up on him. I sat up in the V of the logging road leading to a long greenfield in a bottom. Thinking they would walk the road and go to field. Instead the 3-4 hens flew down into the woods about 75 yards away and flanked me along with the gobbler. I belly crawled to check field and sure enough he was blew up strutting in middle of the field about 200 yards away. I looped around to get to where I thought they’d be but they just vanished. Gobbled about 5 times on roost and never gobbled again on ground. I freaking knew they would end up in that field , I’m kicking my own ass for not going straight there and setting up insted of the roadbed. If he does what he did today- tomorrow morning he will die

Congrats on the kills. Im more than likely gonna be able to hunt the next 4 mornings before work. Most mornings I’ve ever hunted in a row so I should atleast gain some valuable knowledge!

Congrats! I got on one yesterday morning but couldn't get to where he was fast enough to get around on the side I needed to be on. He ended up going over onto the neighbors place with his hens. After that I tried to deer hunt one that I've had on camera and he never showed up. I walked 14.3 miles in two days chasing those things. Back at work now, good luck to those getting to hunt this week.

I'm hoping I can get on the board this weekend. I've got a test to take at 8am Saturday morning but I think if he roosts where he roosted last weekend I can get in their bedroom and maybe kill him before I have to head to town.

Congrats on all the kills guys, I’ve been working 12 hour night shifts and trying to hit a few mornings after work but it’s been tough. I got a shot on one this morning but boogered him up and he flew off. It’s eating me up . I’ve got a new spot real close to my house , gonna try in the morning, I’ve never hunted it before but ariel views look like it could hold a bird or 2. A little 120 acre tract the landowner gave me permission to turkey hunt it if I’ll take him deer hunting on my club a few times. Uh yeah sounds like a deal to me .

Dang rack, I hate you boogered one up. I know that’s tough. If it makes you feel any better I got busted and in my haste I boogered the first shot at mine today and just took out one of his wings. I flung 5 shells worth of TSS at him while sprinting through the woods before I finally stopped him.

What’s up fellas? Looks like we got a good team! I’ve killed 2 so far but I’ll hold off on the one I killed last weekend, unless we need it. I haven’t scored the one from this morning yet, but once I do I may need one of you gents to post it up for me if y’all don’t mind.

I hope I can knock down #2 this weekend. I'm gonna feel bad if I can't get my three for y'all.

I hope to be able to get atleast one more to make 3 for the season and get a “limit” for the competition. My first 2 birds won’t score much both were 2 year olds with about 9.5” beards and 3/4”spurs.

I'm still stuck on 1. My dad and I went Saturday morning and had one gobbling harder than I've heard one gobble in a lonngggg time. He was on the neighbors place and inaccessible, but I made a few phone calls and got permission to go after him. Took the morning off yesterday due to rain and to spend some time with the wife and kid. Gonna take off work Wednesday and go after that hard gobbling bird. Maybe he'll still be doing right.

I think I’ve been jinxed by the turkey gods, after I knocked down the first bird on the second day of the season it’s been nothing but bad luck since . I’ve been on birds about every hunt but anything that could go wrong has, just a few things different and I’d be limited out. I’m headed out west to Oklahoma Saturday maybe those Rios will cooperate better than these dang hilly pines Alabama birds.

I killed a nice Rio in Oklahoma this morning. The guys that hunt the ranch said this bird has whooped them for 2/3 years and were glad somebody finally killed him. He was an old smart bird that would gobble every now and then and run the opposite direction. Chased him from right after daylight to about 11:00 when I finally got a bead on his head. I’ll try and get some pics up later. 10” beard. 1 1/8” spurs and 22.4 lbs . He had a big ol softball head and neck on him I couldn’t hardly get my hand around. When I breasted him out he had a lot of fat on him so I’m thinking he’s prob the oldest bird I’ve ever killed. I been messing with these Oklahoma boys about how it took a Bama boy to come out here and kill him 😆

Got parked on the club this morning and made the long walk across about a 100 acre 5 yr old cutover where on the other side drops off into some hardwood creek bottoms where birds like to roost. I’m listening at daybreak and only hear one bird gobbling and he’s way back across the cutover and close to the road. He sounded like a hot bird but damn it was gonna be a journey to get over to him. So I decided even though nothing gobbled down in the bottom I was gonna set up- call and be patient for a hour since I knew they liked the area, and if I struck out Id walk back to truck and go to another gate to chase the one I heard at daylight. Well nothing happened for the hour so I got up and headed out of the bottom, got to top of hill at edge of cutover and yelped a few times as a shot in the dark and one hammered prob 75 yards away. I started into the woods toward him and was standing there trying to decide to close the distance a little more or setup . It didn’t look like anywhere good to set up so I took another step or two in the direction I heard him and outta nowhere he hammered just out of sight all on top of me. I hit the ground crouched with gun ready and he just appeared through the old grew up firebreak and went into strut about 25 yards as I got the bead on his neck and smoked him. It happened so quick but a awesome hunt. If the woods hadn’t been so greened up now I’d never got that close without spooking him. I got called back to work starting Thursday and will be working 6-7 days a week so my season most likely is over. It’s been fun.

Awesome man! Good job! A buddy and I called out of work together yesterday and hiked about 2 miles into Hollins WMA. We started out at a high spot at the base of the mountain where we could have easily heard birds for 2+ miles and not a peep. It was probably the prettiest and most peaceful morning I have had in the woods though so I wasn't complaining. Looks like Saturday and Sunday are going to be my last hoorah.

Well guys looks like our team is having a great season so far! I talked to mattice via pm and he’s seeing some birds, but I’m not sure if he’s connected. I told him to come check in here. I’m giving it one last hoorah this weekend at my farm, well kinda...... my wife said she wanted to go and try to kill one. So I’ll be guiding but you never know. She usually only likes to hunt for a couple hours then I’ll have the green light.

I completely struck out this weekend. Prob the worst turkey hunt I’ve ever had at the family farm since I started turkey hunting it about 10 years ago. Only heard 1 gobble sat, and saw 1 hen. Only Heard one gobble Sunday, and saw a jake. All and all though it was a good season there with 3 kills, and plenty of birds left alive. Im gonna try and go tomorrow if my buddy will let me go on his land close to the house.

Looking like I’m done for the season. I didn’t even get to hunt the last week of the season, been workin 7 days a week. I Looked at getting a trip up to Nebraska in May but just isn’t going to happen this year. We had a good team and I’m sure we’ll finish in the top few

Dang. I wish I was one of those guys who had enough birds to help a teammate out. I have a tough enough time scratching my three off most of the time though.

Good work guys. I have one more bird I can add but it won’t matter cause we got ghosted by Mattice. We actually were well within reach of winning if he would’ve participated. Best team I’ve ever been on
