We use software called Covenant Eyes to monitor our kids devices. 14.99 a month for unlimited devices. If my kids try to look at anything above the parameters I set it blocks them and I get a email. Been using it for a few years now, it’s pretty effective. It’s why my 13yr old son no longer has a phone.

My teenager was talking about it tonight. She is a good kid but this kind of crap will always be out in front of me. I would ban a dang device, but she's sitting here working on homework on it right now.

so its the schools job to educate and keep kids safe?? and ppl get pissed when they do their job?? parents can not be involved in every second of their kids life and schools do not have to inform you on what they are teaching every single day. no that being said im thrilled my sons school taught them about it, i had no clue what he was talking about when he asked me did i know what it was.

these teachers are over worked, teacher/student ratios are thru the roof, teachers are getting verbally abused every single day and some physically, i applaud any one who wants to get into that profession

Im a parent. I have no clue as to what momo is. What the ?

Now im gonna have to see this crap. I have no idea what im about to see but im gettin real fed up with all this bashin trump, gays everywhere, skinny jeans, transgender, bathrooms. This kids are a weird these days. Its falls back to morals and standards. Those slowly faded away year after year since the 60s. Look at us 20 years from now. Because things have really changed over the last 20 years. Look at the filth on tv now compared to year 2000. Then 1980. In 1980s madonna...
Wait this is Madonna's fault lol. She was the first woman to really get dang near nude and nasty on tv. Aint this why God has to come back and wipe it clean? This is gonna be the normal but worse as time goes on yall.

We have a bible club on Thursday nights and my wife has a route to pick up kids.
Kids brought it up on the way home and were so scared. They wouldn’t get out of bus. Wife could t convince them it wasn’t real.

if your kids are dumb enough to hang themselves and cut their wrists because of a youtube video you've got more problems than just the video.

bhammedic84 You want to educate me on teachers being overworked and under paid when my wife is a 1st grade teacher? I know exactly how overworked and underpaid they are. I think you are missing my point my kid has anxiety and they had no right screwing her up more in the head without consulting me first . But according to your smart ass post you have it all figured out.

I have no clue as to what momo is. Im a parent. I will google it when im not so tired and in a better mood. But im with you man. I dont send my kid to school to talk about youtube. Or anything besides academics period. They took the bible out so now yall are gonna talk to my kid about something other than academics? Hell naw! Do your job...nothing more. Your an academic teacher. Thats the goal. If you cant talk christianity to my son then i be damned if you talk anything else besided academics or nutrition.

i dont have it all figured and and never claimed to, i have many many friends that are teachers and i am a volunteer at the school so yes i get that part. was it the school as a whole who taught about this momo thing or just a few teachers??? i am sorry you child suffers from anxiety i truly am, as you can see by my username i have delt with many many kids who have , excuse my wording "issues" its a sad thing, but every teacher especially subs and fill-ins can not remember everythig wrong with a child. again sorry for coming off as a smart ass was not my intent at all i guess i just took to heart the statement about consulting parents be4 something taught or discussed to heart, they simply can not notify every parent of what may be disturbing and what not. hope this kind clears it up

It was the whole school system. So the decision was made by the superintendent.
It was not any teachers fault they was simply following orders, which i thought was clear in my first post when i said school system. I did not target teachers. The superintendent could have simply sent home letters regarding the issue. Better yet my wifes district made her personally call each kids parent in her class and discuss the matter and it was up to the parents to handle it how they wanted.

I asked my kids, 8th grade boy and 5th grade girl, if they have heard of it or is anyone talking about it at school. Neither one knew what it was

Get ready for it. Around 300 kids learned about it today, prolly 70 percent of them didnt know about it. But since the school system took it upon themselves to tell them they all scared shitless.

I didn’t know what it was until my 8 year old come home talking about it. Seems they discussed it in his second grade classroom. He was scared a little, but I’m kinda glad they talked about it so it made me aware because he watches you tube kids which I thought was semi safe until now.
