Pac groups lobbying on behalf of Benchmade gave to Congressional Committees within the House and Senate. Sometimes a Dem is the chair of said committee and is a benefit. They may be the one that awards a Gov contract to a company. If benchmade wanted to get one of their knives on the belt of every American Soldier, they might just have to Lobby the Dem in charge of awarding that contract for consideration?

Respectfully, they charge a premium price for a blade made from premium steel. Not a one listed on their website is made of 1080 spring steel, which is what virtually all truck springs are made from. 1080 is about $6/foot in knifemaking sizes, and will Rockwell C at about 48. The CPM-S30V and 154CM steel that Benchmade knives are made of costs 4X that plus, and will Rockwell C test at 60+ Personally, I own more Spyderco knives than Benchmade.
