We went to Montgomery today and I saw lots of deer on the ride down and back. Actually saw some deer in town too...right there where you get off the Eastern Bypass onto 65 by the river, there's a planted powerline with a shooting house on it. When we left headed N this afternoon about 1:30 there were several deer standing in that green. Was also what looked like a dozen or more in the field behind Camo Country in Wetumpka.
We were on the edge of Eternia, when the power of Greyskull began to take hold.

That a mile from my office, and I pass it 10 or so times a day. Deer there a lot. There are 2 on the E side and one on the W side of the interstate right there. Saw a real good buck Monday the 11th there

Probably the new robo deer used my ole green jeans. I'm pretty sure there is something related to the antlers having a certain maximum size on the robo deer. You could put a set of 200" typical sheds on a robo deer and write tickets to a whole bunch of normally 100% law-abidding citizens. I was told one time, right or wrong, that if they are setting up the decoy, they use a typical Bama 8 pt because they are supposed to be targeting the outlaw road and night hunters and not trying to tempt the normal law abiding citizen into breaking the law. Some of the GWs or the ex GWs could probably chime in on this. I've heard the same. Don't know if its true.

There use to be some giants in the old Christmas tree farm between 85 and Atlanta highway. There was a 7 point that was a man there. Big 10 also.
Would walk over a naked woman to get to a gobblin turkey!

I'd it's true good for them for not tempting the usual good.

How'd you manage to cut the fence out of the pic? def no fence there, he was so big i was shaking just looking at him from the side of the road. just wish he would have stood there so I could have taken a picture through my binoculars You need to stop being so cheap and buy you a phone with a decent camera. he took it with his iPhone 7 at 8:13:02am. digital zoom of 5.006622517x. I was checking the metadata, trying to see if his gps was on to see how close the deer was to my place. SOB! guess i need to make sure it's off. he wasn't there this morning ubt I sure wish he would have been

Not that I had extensive conversation with him about it, but a friend of mine who is a game warden had one of them in his garage at one time and I remember it being a very average buck so there is probably truth to that mentality. It makes sense at least. Maybe an otherwise law abiding hunter that got ticketed for shooting at a 200" fake deer at night would have better luck asserting an entrapment defense as opposed to poaching a 80-90" buck Maybe if the judge was a deer hunter...and a little off his rocker

Department policy used to be a decoy deer could only have up to a normal size 6 point rack, no big deer at all. Heck most of the time the shooter didn't even know if it had antlers or not. I used to carry a big 140" set of antlers for it in the truck for the outlaws to see. My best decoy would twitch its tail, turn its head, and walk 20 yards, all by remote control. Most fun I had working.

BhamFred a buddy and myself saw what we thought was a deer decoy outside Oakman many years ago It looked real but something didn’t seam right . Later that day at a mini mart that cooked we heard The story of a group of hunters tried to shoot the thing . I bet that’s fun to watch!

I've laughed so hard I cried at folks and the decoy. We videoed a lot of the cases for court, kind of hard to deny everything when it's on video.

Troy, what is the most (number of times) someone has shot at your decoy, just repeatedly shooting it, thinking they missed? we had two decoys set up on a big power line one day, maybe 150 yards off the small dirt road. This was near the Walker Co line at Rattlesnake. First truck the driver jumps out going up a hill, truck in gear. The truck rolled back and hit the truck behind it, but the driver was already out and shooting, as was the third truck in line. So three shooters, prolly 3-4 shots apiece before I could yell loud enough to stoop them. I think there was one hit. Had another guy shoot twice before his buddy took the gun away and shot twice....
