Honest opinions if you’ve got personal experience with one. They’re nice looking but I’ve heard too many horror stories about them in the past to think too seriously of them. Are they that much worse than gmc, Toyota and ford when it comes to gas burner trucks?

I had a 2003. I got about 275K miles on it before the engine gave out. Had to replace the water pump once. It was a good truck. I drive a Tundra, but due to somebody running into the back of me, it is currently being repaired and I got a rental, which happens to be a Ram 1500. It has plenty of power and drives really well. I still like my Tundra.
ive got a 2500 gas burner and its been a damn good truck. i did have to put a transmission in it during December but thats probably my fault more so than the trucks
I have 3 17's, no problem so far. 30k miles or about. I hate the way the transmission downshifts in cruise to maintain a lower speed instead of coasting.
I had 2 2011 models, at 200k one had lifter problem and wore the cam shaft. I had 1 2012 model that needed coil pack on the same cylinder twice.

Dodge trucks are the only decent product they make. I would still buy a Toyota truck all day long over a Dodge.
Dodge doesn't make the Ram anymore. They sold out to Fiat a few years ago. Their trucks consistently rank near, or at, the bottom in reliability. Same as everything else Fiat makes.

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

I've had a 2012 1500 since 2015 and it's been solid other than the exhaust manifold gasket. It just broke 100,000 miles and I will let it go for $12,000.

There is not 1 single part on a RAM truck that is made by or has anything to do with fiat.
Over the years I've owned two Dodge trucks. The newer ones may be awesome vehicles, but I'll never know cause there will never be another Chrysler product in my garage.
Sig Sauer, to hell and back reliable.
Whatever suits you just tickles me plum to death.
Can I refill your eggnog for you? Get you something to eat? Drive you out to the middle of nowhere and leave you for dead?

So Fiat owns Ram but someone else makes it? Who?
