Being so morally corrupt that you can cheat, and then come home and look at your spouse straight in the eye, is just beyond me. My take is, if you're in a troubled relationship,commit to 1 of 2 things. Those 2 things are either working on it, or ending it, with no 3rd party intervention.

Something else I never understood , is why people think that a person they are involved with, that is cheating on their husband or wife is not going to cheat on them .

I will say I experienced Wiley’s original premise personally as have many others on here and beyond, and yeah, it happens both ways, male and female, and I don’t care who you are nor the marriage situation you’re in, if you’re taking the pos route of being a cheater you deserve all the boils of life. If you are so desperate to destroy your family for your own personal satisfaction the least you can do is attempt to amicable walk away without leaving the stench that infidelity leaves behind, especially if kids are involved. I thoroughly despise the “life’s to short” or “I deserve to be happy” crap as a justifiable reason to cheat on your spouse. It takes many spouses/children/families years to recover from such a self serving act. Have the decency to try to part ways without all the hurt and anger you’ll leave behind otherwise.

I don't believe this behavior is strictly limited to women. There are plenty of men that cheat on otherwise faithful wives.

My second wife cheated on me. I got the house and custody of all my kids. I gave her a lump sum of cash, a Jeep and $1000 a month for 4 years, just to get rid of her so I could try to pick up the pieces and put things back together. She blew through all of that money in no time, and karma caught up with her bad. Four years later, she was out of money and living in a shitty little rent trailer in Westover. She had a baby out of wedlock with another guy (different from the one she cheated with) He turned out to be a drug addict and he left her with no no money and no child support.

During this time I met and fell in love with Mrs. Irish. She was a single mom when we met. One day she had compassion on my ex-wife even though she didn't deserve it. Mrs. Irish took it upon herself to buy up a bunch of groceries with her own money and take a hand full of her own hard earned cash down there personally to help my ex-wife feed herself and the kid and pay her bills. You talk about the Lord humbling a person... I'll tell you my ex-wife was humbled to the point of seeing Christ though Mrs. Irish that day. That one act magnified the difference between my ex-wife and the woman that God sent to me to spend the rest of our lives together. If I remember correctly she even kept giving her some money every month after that for a while to help her out. That is a Proverbs 31 woman right there friends.

I am convinced that though it all, God has finally sent me the woman that I was supposed to have all along, but it took me until 12 years ago to finally be ready for her in God's eyes.

Sometimes we, as men, have to change ourselves and humble ourselves, and then and only then will God will grant us the woman that he wants us to have.

Two questions:

If a husband cheats, is it his fault?

If a wife cheats, is it her fault?

Yes and yes. It is no ones fault but the cheater.

The way I see it you swore an oath before God. In Gods eyes cheating is the one thing that you don’t have to forgive your parter for. I don’t understand how a parent can do it to their kids.Matthew 19:9,Proverbs 6:32.

FWIW, this isn't something that I'm dealing with fight now. I went thru it years ago. Somebody else that's very close to me is dealing with it now.

I used to hunt almost every day. When I wasn't deer, turkey, hog, or rabbit hunting I coon hunted. I had over 20 dogs and hunted over 250 days one year. A lot of it at night. My now exwife cheated on me and I take a lot of the blame. Not all, but a lot. Anyway I met the woman of my dreams and realized what was important.

I see this happen a lot to young couples that marry the only person that they dated in high school. When they grow older with children, it seems one often wants to test the waters and see what they feel they have missed.
The sad part is not so much what adults do to each other, but the young lives they often destroy. All too often children blame themselves and think it is their fault.

I got a friend going thru it too. Wife joined the army cause they paid for her to go to Vet school then she deployed overseas. Came home over xmas and claims she loves another woman now. He said she was was a very good Christian before joining the army but now is a dike weirdo. Said the army is over there telling these new soldiers be weird. Scary

Both of my wife's brothers have gotten divorced in last 6-8 years. Their wives were running around on them......now they are both remarried. One of the new wives is going to get implants in the next couple weeks.....I always have a bad feeling when a married woman gets implants. Seems like a strong connection with fake T's and scandalousness.

I know men cheat their fair share but women cheating seems rampant right now.

It comes down to selfishness. People want what they want. When they put their desires above all others, including their spouse, kids, or God, then they will do whatever they think will make them happy. There is pleasure in sin, at least for a season. The lust of the eye, lust of the flesh, and the pride of life are the root causes of really bad behavior..

I think it is hogwash to blame one's actions on another. Each one is responsible for their own actions.

Years ago, my friend offered his young daughter a candy bar now or a car when she is 16. What do you think she took? Yep, the candy bar. A LOT of people are trading candy bars for cars.

I got a buddy who’s wife is cheating on him with the preacher that married them. Run up his credit cards, sneaking out at night, giving him the whole nine yards. He’s kept his head through all of it, setting up everything so when he does file for divorce, it’s on his terms.

It is a choice plain and simple. Are you going to let Satan in your marriage or are you not.

Any of you innocents calling ex's whores shouldn't. At least don't if she was good enough that you would have whipped anyone for calling her that before you did. She either was one and you married her,in which case it's your fault, or she was married to you long enough to become one.
