So the three players in question were suspended and didnt play in the postseason.
What's the big deal?

I guess the "big deal" is that the drug tests are random, and they test less than 20 of the players.

So...were there players who DID play that were on ostarine as well?

Also, the fact that Dabo is blaming everyone other than his own players and/or staff is simply "off". He's trying to say that the ostarine possibly got added where the supplements are manufactured. Hey Dabo, ostarine is not approved for human consumption worlwide, not just here in the US. There's no way a reputable supplement manufacturer (and we have to assume that colleges are only dealing with reputable manufacturers) has that stuff in their facility. He's also tried to state that maybe it was in their shampoo and other crazy stuff like that.

Ostarine is not a common PED. You have to go looking for it. You don't accidentally come into contact with it.

Again...NOT APPROVED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD.

The tweet says that Dabo says that Clemson may have given the PEDS to the players.

Apparently there are supplement companies that are sneaking the stuff into their supplements, so it's not completely out of the question that the Clemson staff unknowingly gave the stuff to their players.

Read this:

https://www.sportsintegrityinitiative.com/trouble-ostarine-jimmy-wallheads-story/

The thing about some of those supplements that promise to make you leaner and build more muscle is that in your quest to be "healthier," leaner and more muscular, you absolutely have no idea what you are putting in your body.

If it came from the training staff, then the Clemson nutrition staff is not doing their homework like they should be. The responsibility still falls back to them.

All players are preached at to not take anything unless it's from the training staff.

No one finds it odd that Clemson players are the only players that tested positive for it, or do they simply get a pass for it just because they beat Bama?

In general, there are less than 10 players nationwide that test positive for PED's on a yearly basis...Clemson had 3 test positive in a random test of less than 20 players.

Hunter,

I'm certainly not defending Clemson, just pointing out that the supplement business is a very crowded and highly competitive business with each company trying to come up the the magical elixir that can reduce aging, make you lose fat and gain muscle all at the same time. Now throw into the mix that those companies are largely unregulated and few people outside the company's own laboratories actually know what goes into that white powder that you mix with your "brotein" shake after every workout and it is a recipe that is ripe for abuse.

Why would a team that is already highly competitive knowingly give something to a player that would cause them to fail a test for a known performance enhancing drug?

Again, that question is not meant to defend Clemson, only saying that it would be stupid as all hell! Which leads me to believe that the Clemson staff gave these players this supplement in good faith based on what the supplement company told them and assumed that it was clean.

All this is the main reason why I quit taking all supplements except for real food.

Seems pretty unlikely that the substance was a contaminant from the supplement mfg.ers that mistakenly was added to their supplements. Dabo seems to be trying to distance himself from this. Interesting.

It is the Clemson nutrition staff (and all other universities') to thoroughly test all supplements they offer to athletes. If they're not testing them, they're stupid and it's on them...period.

Again...why has no other universities' athletes tested positive for it? Is Clemson just unlucky, or do they have an exclusive supplement supplier (no, of course)?

And your basis for this "guarantee" is?????

If you're guaranteeing, I assume you can prove it.

I think it is pretty crappy if some of these supplements can sneak in stuff, not list it on the label, and not be held liable
