I set some traps last weekend and Tuesday before the hard freeze I stepped on all my traps and just let them close and stay mostly under ground. Went back and reset and moved some around yesterday and 2 of my traps where pulled out of the holes and chains where stretched tight. Couldn't see any tracks but made me wonder how much attention they got. Im sure the dirt holes helped draw them in but neither hole was messed with. How many set with bones or something to get there attention? Ive only done flat and dirthole sets but this got my wheels to spinning. Sounds like a deer stepped in them.

Kind of odd! I don't know what would've done that.
I will say this, I catch more coyotes in suttle well hidden sets than I do in sets with visual attraction. Flashy sets seem to make coyotes more cautious. Just the opposite with cats and fox, it seems to peak their curiosity.

Missed that part. Put a camera on it maybe?
