Automotive reliability is not subjective. The Japanese, especially Toyota, got way ahead of domestics back in the 70s and 80s. There is alot of hard data that confirms this if you do just a little research. Domestics have bridged the gap but still have some catching up to do.

The older Toyota’s yes!! The new ones are not what they once was. They are built here now by Americans. I’ve had a pile of Toyota’s. Still have a 1981 and a 98. They are awesome. Toyota’s lost me in 2005 when they went to a bigger cab.

Subjective may not have been the best description of reliability.. I'll give yall that one.. That is what it is.. But truck brand preference blinds a lot of folks being able to be non - subjective. That's sort of what I'm saying here. Some are Chevy some are Ford, but in the long haul of what they've put out over the years they are about even in my opinion. I don't have a favorite brand personally. But hey, to each his own.
