sgt., I had an AD when I was young. Safety on an old double 20 didn't work right, but the gun was, as always, pointed in a safe direction. No harm. I drive that rule into my grandson every time we are out with guns....ALAYS point it in a safe direction. Loaded. Unloaded, it don't matter. The golden rule... And kids don't make mistakes ever. You can bank on that right? I made a mistake when I was 9 or 10 regarding this rule. The ass whipping I received from my dad made sure I never forgot this rule again. Ever.
