Saban's experience, his highly detailed process and his strong will are the only things that have held this run together.

Had Saban had the same amount of consistency on his staff as someone like Bear Bryant, or Bobby Bowden, or Dabo Swinney he would have probably swept the last 6 or more National Championships going away.

People can say what they will, make fun of his height and some of his decisions, but there is no question in my mind even if the dude quit today, he woudl be the greatest college football coach of all time. Roll Tide!

Spot on Irish. We will see what Dabo is about when he has to deal with coaching staff turn around due to lesser programs wanting to mimic yours.

I’ve never understood the mindset of someone belittling someone else because they are more successful than you. And just because they don’t wear the same colors as you. I think it’s short dick miserable fans from other football programs that live vicariously through their universities football program that just sucks. So they are mad as hell and resort to childless name calling. Plus if you want to eliminate the trolls from game day threads then it’s best to not participate in one on here. The ones with people of like mind and love the Crimson Tide like Tidefans.com and others are better.

central ala,
What's more impressive to me is Saban is the best college coach ever while being the worst in one category and that would be coaching up a field goal kicker.

I just read earlier that Saban and Dave Aranda had mutual interest in him coming over to Alabama. So were I wonder does that put Lupoi - on the road or back as a position coach? Nevertheless, the next week or so is going to interesting with this coaching carousel.

Georgia, Bama, Clemson all losing lots of players. Goes along with the times...you have lots of talent you never have a team loaded with seniors. See what Kirby has under the hood now losing coaches and players. Saban we know. When Dabo turn ever comes then we will see.
Dave Aranda may be the best DC left in the SEC. Sark may not be a great HC but he can run a COLLEGE offense fro sure. Can't hold one game where substituted for Freshwater against him.

Nick must really like him if he's taking him back after bolting like he did.

NIck knows what he needs in the program right now at this point in time. He knows what he is getting with Sark and Sark knows the program and process. I look to see Nick concentrating on upgrading his defensive staff and concentrating his efforts there. The offense will run with Tua in the pocket and Sark calling the plays and all those young WRs with a year under their belts. Defense is where the work is going to be done and Saban didnt want to have to hassle with getting a completely new OC on the same page as him so he went with a known commodity. Don't question the master. Nick has been there and done that for years now and nothing has stopped his success so far. RTR
