Last year, I saw them everywhere on our lease. This year, not a single one. Two possibilities IMO might be the answer. One, we had few acorns last year and a bumper crop this year. Not thinking the armadillo is eating the acorns, but insects that feed on the acorn remains after animals eat them. Two, it's been unseasonably warm for the most part of this hunting season... probably more insects available. In either case, it would likely result in armadillos not having to go far for food... which is probably why we saw so many last year. JMO
