I just got a new bow and I am wanting to use it to hunt and to shoot 3d. I have come to the conclusion that no matter how hard I try I just cant squeeze the trigger off on my wrist strap release. I have tried practicing shooting with eyes closed but as soon as I look at the target again I punch the trigger as I am hovering over the aim point. I have heard a lot about back tension releases and was wondering if this would help me. I can shoot pretty accurate but not good enough to make me happy. I have heard of people using the back tension releases for hunting and was wondering how that worked. I really don't know how they work. How does the arrow not get released on the draw if there is no trigger to press? I need some suggestions on a good release. Like I said I am not a bad shooter I just want to have tighter groups and I know it is because I punch the trigger a little.

Before you give up on the trigger try tighten the set screw down so it makes it heavy.A light trigger pull will make you want to punch. With the trigger being heavy you can put you finger on it and pull thru with your sholder just like shooting a back tension.

Good advice. Once I get to full draw, the only thing touching the release is my trigger finger. Then I pull through with my shoulder.
