Definitely Home Depot. worked at Home Depot for a year and a half. May do it again in 2019. Also it is closer than our local Lowe's.

Home Depot in Pelham has 100X better employees and helpers to load than Lowes at Bessemer does. I can NEVER get anyone to help load a truck at Lowes.
I bought 40 cement blocks at HD in Pelham. I parked at the front of the contractor door, went in and paid. They sent THREE men out there to load my truck. I never touched a block.
Last time I asked for help at Lowes there were FOUR employees standing ten feet from my truck...only one of em actually working. One of the non workers said they were busy. I had hurt my back and I loaded four 80 pound bags of Sacrette myself. I told em to F off as I walked by.
I've spent most of the money I've made in my lifetime on hunting and fishing. The rest I just wasted.....

If I need service I ask for it, neither are there waiting for you. I always go to lowes first which is a couple times a week at a minimum.

I buy all my building materials from Vansandt Hardware in Sylacauga. Walk in the store and someone will immediately greet you and help you find what you need. If you need something from the yard, they write it up and you drive out and someone loads it for you.
And the best thing is they don't have everything on computer. They write out the orders by hand, and charge whatever I buy until the end of the month unless I tell them I want to pay now. And they usually beat the price at HD across the highway. It's a pretty easy choice to buy from them. There would be a lot of these type stores for everything if people would support them.

Same here, Preacher. And they’ve got quite the antler collection on the wall, too.

Whichever is closer. Down in south HSV there is a Lowes and a HD side by side. I prefer Lowes and will defer to it in this situation.
Isn't Lowes taking over Craftsman tools?

like Steve, I buy most of my stuff from a local store K3 Lumber at Greenpond. If they don't have it and it is small then Lowes. Bigger stuff is always from HD.

Home Depot for Paint and Lumber. Lowes for Tools.
