What’s your phone number?

C’mon Gomer - we will only send you a few pics a day grin

The last thing I need is my number posted up here where Perch can start texting me "Hey Goober..." instead of pm'ing me here.

So someone school me on turkey patterns - how drastically different are they between Spring and Fall? I saw 5 huge gobblers last weekend on our TN deer property all together scratching in some hardwoods. A couple of them had beards dragging the ground nearly.

I'd never really gotten all that excited about seeing turkeys, but these guys were really close to me, and were fascinating to watch. They are constantly making some sort of vocalization even when just walking around.

It got me thinking maybe it's time to give turkey hunting a serious try next Spring, but I wondered if those turkeys would even be in the same area come then?

Don’t do it man, let a training professional such as myself scope out the situation first. If it’s safe and only when it’s safe will I take you to experience a hunt. People get hurt bad messing with toms.

How awesome is that for Yekrut to offer that kind of security for a fellow Hunter. NWALJM that's an incredibly generous offer that you better jump on quick. I'd get it in writing if it was me!...

NWALJM,

Ignore Turkey Backwards' advice..........he just wants to kill all your birds. Let me investigate it instead..........it took me 6 yrs to kill 2 of the damn things, so your birds will be in little danger.

Some will stay, some will leave. Start practicing calling now, and never forget that silence is golden with turkeys. Read the top post in this section and it will help with the learning curve. Also a bunch of good guys here who would be happy to call one in for you.

Thanks AU. This may be the first season I give turkey hunting a legitimate try. I’ve either heard or seen turkeys about every deer sit this season.

The shocker here still to this day and even though it is old news now is that Gomer actually killed a turkey last season. I’m still thinking he hit a flock on the highway and just counted that as his first kill. smile
