Great club, good folks, beautiful property, awesome breakfast, and great hunting! Can't ask for much more than that. Have been on a few drives there, a lot of history there.

The dog hunting now, is way better than before. Them alpha systems have made it easier and quicker.

I won’t ever turn one loose without one again When we went to the beeper collars, we thought how'd we ever hunt without them. Then the same with the garmin 220 and dc 30. Now I cant imagine not having gone and shock capability. No problem to catch the dogs off a driving race on the last grade by myself.

It’s deer hunts I went on on as kid were dog drives in Sumter county. Good luck. Is that their club house in the picture? Pretty cool looking old house. That is one of the houses they use for sleeping. There is another to the left side of the picture that everyone signs out and eats in.

I miss a good old dog hunt. Started out hunting that way back in the late 70’s. Memories I will never forget.

Really nothing like a good dog hunt. Was a lot more comeradrie at them old dog clubs, and seems nobody was nearly as serious and selfish about deer hunting back then. Everybody was happy when a good one got killed no matter who killed it.

How many here would push for a resurgence of dog hunting? I know it was closed in Marion and franklin county years ago, but seems like with the alpha system stiff fines for failure to comply that it could be better regulated now.

I dog hunted in the past(south MS). Was a lot of work keeping up with the dogs. Comradarie was nice and all but I enjoy trying to ambush them now. Much more peaceful and a great time to get some quiet time

I’m not big on outlawing types of hunting, and ways to hunt, but I’m glad dog hunting is fading away. If there’s some fancy way to corral your dogs, then the dog hunters I’ve dealt with haven’t heard of it, or don’t care.
