I decided to hunt a close spot to the road where I saw a scrape earlier. It was really thick and when I climbed the tree I had almost zero shooting lanes. Went to pull my bow up and the quiver fell off. I climbed down and decided to climb another tree 10 yards away. It was 4:15 when I finally got up with my bow. I hit the rattle pak a good minute then gave a couple of grunts. Not 5 minutes later I hear something coming in. A small 4 point walked right broadside at ten yards. I drew as he walked up. I pulled off and pulled back up to my kisser making sure everything was aligned, then let it ride! Shot looked perfect! Called everybody up and got znrichie to help me with the track. We made short work of it 50 yards with good heart/ lower lung shot. I am so blessed to be able to claim my first deer, and a with a bow and buck no less. I want to thank my Lord And Savior first and foremost, my best friend Brandon Trawick who got me into deer hunting, my two buddies zach and winston, and lastly all of y’all who have listened to my stories and offered your advice and knowledge.

gcr0003 OP 8 point G Joined: Oct 2017 Posts: 2,277 Alabama	Just wanted to add one last cool point. I killed this deer with the same arrow and broadhead that I missed with the day before. I took it home, cleaned it off, then sharpened it and it was good to go. G5 Montec did it’s job.
