There’s a difference in a black nose crappie and a Magnolia crappie. Black nose is a naturally occurring marking in some fish. I don’t know if they’re a cross or not. Magnolias are a hybrid that are either sterile or have very low reproductive rates. They are bred for pond stocking
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

Is there a way to tell the difference between black nose and magnolia? I don’t believe so, at least not by naked eye. The magnolia crappie is a cross between a female white, and a male black nose. The eggs are then pressure treated to make them sterile. Last I heard, they have about abandoned that experiment. Not enough demand and cost to produce was high
