I have made this North Carolina sauce for years. This is almost the exact recipe. It is awesome on pork and excellent used as a pepper vinegar on greens and such.

I love vinegar sauce. Mine contains white and apple cider vinegar, Louisian, Cayenne and black pepper. It's what I was raised having with BBQ.

Here is mine: (Corrected version)
2 cups apple cider vinegar 3 Tablespoons Ketchup 2 Tablespoons brown sugar 2 Tablespoons Paprika 1 Tablespoon hot sauce 4 teaspoons kosher salt 2 teaspoons black pepper 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper 1 teaspoon dry mustard
Wisk to dissolve sugar and refrigerate a day ahead of time. Store in old large sized salad dressing bottle with a shaker top (like an oil & vinegar type). Will keep for 4 weeks easy, but it never last that long.
Edit...originally posted from memory but I was off on measurements. Corrected once I looked at recipe tonight.

[quote=NWALJM]Hallb I'm with ya man. I've always loved vinegary (is that a word?) foods and dressings. I love white sauce on chicken for that reason too.[/quote
Have you tried Full Moon BBQ’s vinegar based slaw? It’s the best I’ve ever had. I had it at the restaurant and then found their recipe online and started making it every time I smoke butts. Makes a fine slawBq.
Share that recipe with us, please.
