Bet the yotes will! Deer deal with death all the time, but will probably avoid the area for a bit. If he starts to stink , I would think they will avoid it cause it is too overwhelming.

So long story short a shot a big hog Saturday and he roll down a step hill around 50 yards from where I shot him. He rolled into some thick brush and I was unable to retrieve him. Will deer show back up to the area with a hog carcass in the area? I've seen a deer walk by (with-in 10 yards) of a yesterdays deer gutpile and not even flinch.

That carcass will probably be there come January but dead stuff dont bother deer. I have never had anything eat boar hogs when they were shot and left. They eventually just rot and bones remain I can’t believe Barry didn’t show you his trick. Those boar hogs have some tough skin and it’s hard for critters to get in, he showed me to cut the skin open from ass to head (just a long cut) and allow the critters a way in to the meat and they will disappear in no time.
Yeah c’mon. Daniel White

There were 6 or 7 hunters ran down and devoured by wild hogs just this past week in Clarke County alone. I don’t know why they never put that stuff in the news?? Good grief, they're not purple people eaters from Mars. I never even insinuated anything like that. But they will eat absolutely anything, including each other. And I have watched one (that I shot) chased down and killed by others.

I know what you meant. And, they are Cannabalistic.....just like domestic hogs.
But, Good Grief, some folks act like they are just hiding behind every tree in the woods waiting to jump out and attack them!! I heard that a Drinkard fella from Clarke county was bit by a hog and after 4 long, bitter tasting, and painful hours the hog finally committed suicide

But, Good Grief, some folks act like they are just hiding behind every tree in the woods waiting to jump out and attack them!! That stupid show that used to be on TV, with the old man two hot chicks, trapping hogs in Texas, was completely idiotic. They made out like hogs could fly and breathe fire.
