It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a gun hunt on a WMA, so I need a little info. I should have Saturday afternoon open to hunt with the “tags/permits” being handed out starting way early Friday morning. My question is, do they have a set number of tags they hand out, or do they keep going until people stop showing up? I feel like I’m going to be late to the party and don’t want to drive out there for no reason. I thought I had sworn off WMA gun hunts, but it’s the only thing close enough Saturday and I got some encouraging videos with daylight activity.

I’ve never known them to have a limit on total number of tags maybe just on the amount of doe tags if it’s a either sex hunt

Go and knock one down. They do not run out of permits. Like mentioned above, if it’s a either sex hunt sometimes they only hand out a certain percentage of doe tags. Good luck.
