I have the same problem on one of my leases. Covered up with turkeys fall and winter then most of them move on in spring. Some will stay but most move over to the cattle ranch east of me.
What you do today, you have to sleep with tonight.

Look, moving the opener date back is already causing population growth! As much as I love to see and hear about this successful hatch, the timing of it is horrible for us hunters. Chuckie and co will be touting the opener being moved back as the reason for the population boost when all these 2 year olds are screaming in a couple of years.
