Do deer eat live oak acorns enough to fool with planting them?

I bet they eat them good. Lots of people like the sawtooth oaks since they grow quickly. Since moving to the mobile area I have seen the live oaks dropping big acorns downtown

If you're hunting near Northport, I'd plant white oaks. Not many natural live oaks that far north. Sawtooths are not native and drop too early for my liking.

Located in Tuscaloosa County. I already have sawtooths on my place that produce annually, but have access to a lot of live oak acorns that I could plant and bring along.

We don't have native Scarlett oaks around here, but the few planted ones I've seen have a very young acorn production and a pile of acorns. They are one of the prettiest trees in the fall also.
