My buddy and I decided right before lunch today that we’d ride up to Hollins and take part in the either sex gun hunt this afternoon. Got out of the truck at 1:45 and had her down right at 2:00. Shot her on the walk in with my climber and pack still on my back. I walked within 75yds of her and she never knew I was there. 6.8SPC with a 95gr Barnes TTSX dropped her in her tracks. Got her gutted and then just sat on the ground near her for the rest of the afternoon while my buddy finished hunting. I ended up having another one walk around for 15mins within 40yds of me. All in all it was a good day and I was able to put some more meat in the freezer. I’d been wanting more to make jerky with anyway.

Nice job
