If it's good coffee I'll drink it black. If it's so so coffee I'll add a little Half & Half. If it's really bad coffee I'll just pour it out.

Our taste buds change as we get older. It's been proven that when we are young we have a much higher tolerance to sour flavors. This is why you see little kids that will just suck on a lemon of eat that terrible sour candy stuff. It's also why older people like stuff like black coffee, unsweet tea and beer.

About the only time I drink it black is if I’m sitting in a conference room or Hunting camp. I prefer mine with creamer but no additional sweetener.

Strangely enough I still like sour stuff. As a matter of fact my son and I always carry sour straws when we go hunting. I agree that normally your taste buds change. I’m just abnormal lol

Cafe Con Leche. Usually Café Llave.
And preferably with cane sugar or honey.
I even have some Cuban honey on hand right now.

I have always drank it black. If there’s even just a hint of either cream or sugar, I won’t drink it. I drink WAY too much coffee. I make a pot every morning (10 cup pot) and will drink all but a travel mug worth, which the wife drinks, before I leave the house in the morning. Then I stop by a buddy of mine’s coffee shop on the way out and drink a travel mug worth with him. Then I usually drink a cup when I get home in the afternoon.

Same here. It amazes me how many people are shocked when I tell them I want my coffee black or my whiskey straight.

I get that a lot, too. I like coffee black, with a little Splenda or honey, and every once in a while, I dissolve an Atomic Fireball jawbreaker in it.
And whiskey...neat, period. No ice, no water, just whiskey.

Depends on my taste mood at the time. I like coffee black, just cream, just sugar or honey, and sometimes sugar and cream.

thumbup

In the break room at the office a few days ago, one of our new employees fresh outta college asked me how many cups I drink in the morning. When I told him at least six cups a day his jaw about hit the floor.

Rookies... rolleyes

My guys at work gave up on asking how many cups I drink a day. They've grown to ask how many pots I drink a day now... ;-)

Old proverb, "Coffee should be black as midnight, hot as hell, and sweet as sin."

I do like mine HOT and with a touch of sugar, but also put half and half in it
