I'm having some trouble finding cheaper recurve bows with a 31"-33" draw length. there are tons of options for 29" or less like the Samick Sage. Probably could get the hang of it at 29" but want something more fitting to build some consistency. Any suggestions on places to look? Preferably under $200 since I'm new to traditional bows.

Trad bows aren’t draw length specific. If you draw over 28” on one the listed draw weight will be higher. How much depends on the bow model. Your trad draw length is typically shorter than your compound draw length.

I'm about 6'4" but my arm span is about 6'8"-6'9"
Ok, I was figuring about the same draw length as my compound because I don't use a release and I have been reading that overdrawing a recurve can damage the limbs. Do you have a recommendation on a low-end brand that can handle a little overdraw?
And if the wieght goes up in overdraw, should I go ahead and look for something around 50lb instead of 60-65lb?

I’ve been doing some research and I think 64” may be the way to go for me too. Thanks fellas.

I would start with, at least, a 64 inch bow. Good advice. If you end up with more than a 29" draw...you can get the Spyder XL takedown in 64". You may find you have a lot shorter draw with a recurve. Just don't get overbowed, get a poundage you can control starting out.

I’ve been doing some research and I think 64” may be the way to go for me too. Thanks fellas. 64 inch would be good for you. You can figure about 3 lbs per inch over the marked weight at 28. I recommend you end up at 45lbs at your draw length. You have lots of options if you went with a 19" or longer ILF riser and just use ILF limbs. Might work better for longer draws unless you find a good 64" bow..
