Settled in a tree on the point of a sleugh out here in Missouri. Right in the middle of a huge crp field, should funnel them down. Been a heck of a morning. Hung a lockon for my dad then walked another half mile and hung mine. Good luck fellas

Set up on a foodplot on the edge of a cutover. Checked the radar about 15 minutes ago and had to bail out of a tree and get into a shooting house because a thunderstorm was beating down on me. This is more of a recon mission for the youth hunt morning opener. Want to see what’s crossing this cutover and where. My nephew will be down hunting with me. I’m 335 yards from that shooting house we were in the opening day of the youth hunt last year when we had to wait that buck out for 6 hours before Wes smoked him.

It’s raining like hell now.

I remember you posting during that hunt Sonny. That was a good post, and showed a lot of patience. thumbup

Back in Coosa county. Overlooking a little hardwood valley. Nothing but skwerls so far. Had a gray fox come through about 30 mins ago at 60 yards.

Well, darn. Just missed a yote at 40 yards. I think I shot low.

Got off late last night. Slept in so I can go sit this afternoon. Its absolutely flooding here in Moundville. Going to try and time it to where as soon as it stops raining I will be on my way up a tree.

Not exactly what I was looking for, but they shouldn’t ought to have gave me a turkey tag...

Ended up seeing about a dozen, about half bucks chasing or cruising, moved spots now.

Set up in a secluded little green strip in some mature pines in my Lone Wolf. No one ever messes around in this area. Happened up on it when I came out this morning. Lot of big tracks in this little strip. Cell signal sucks in here.

I'm set up close to a field in some pines. Missed a good size doe here last year. This seems to be their evening place to go. I'm in my new summit 180 max. This thing is almost too comfortable.

I'm in some really thick stuff. Not many shooting lanes. I'm watching a trail with some fresh ribs. I didn't want to disturb the area b5 cutting lanes.

Sitting on a long field in the pines. No deer yet but have seen a couple odd buzzard looking birds with beards.

The am hunt sucked. Got too hot walking in, didn’t see crap and then got rained on.

Just had a grown one run by at about 40 yrds. I heard him coming long before I seen him. He didnt seem spooked, just in a hurry? No chance at a shot where he was, so I didn't even try to stop him. Thought maybe a dog or yote might be in tow, but didn't see anything.? At least I know he's around.
