Mine is the super splitting axe not the x27 super splitting axe. Not really sure what the difference is other than an orange handle

Amazon has the black handled version for $47.43, or the same axe with a bit of orange rubberized trim for $51.01

That's cool. Throughout my life I've left a trail of broken ax and maul handles. If I could find one I couldn't break it'd be worth it. Like Clem though I wish I had a fire place but I'm glad I don't have to depend on one.

When I was a teenager my dad would drag logs up into the backyard then when my friends were over he’d start calling us wusses, challenging us, and goading us into competing with each other until it was all split. Really though we just liked doing it.

I have a Husqvarna Forest Axe that rides in the Jeep Wrangler. It is a rebranded Hultafors' (Hults Bruk) Axe for half the money with slightly rougher forging (That I actually like better) that you have to do the final honing yourself. (My understanding is that the Hults is a little sharper out of the box.)

The Husqvarna:

https://www.amazon.com/Husqvarna-26-Wooden-Multi-Purpose-Axe/dp/B004WJGXAQ

The Hults Bruk:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0766MFTCT/ref=s9_dcacsd_dcoop_bw_c_x_1_w

There are people that have broken this axes, but I have had no such problems.

Those Amazon axes are down payments on the felling axes at Mark’s. By the way, I went in there asking for $10 worth of cleaning supplies and got treated like I was ordering a custom rifle. The vibe was better than I’ve experienced in the past. They still got no used lever guns but nobody’s perfect.

OP, That is a good axe.

I purchased a Granfors Bruks Forest Axe about 10 years ago. The best axe I’ve ever had in my hands!

Just ordered a Granfors Brux Large Splitting Axe for my son for Christmas. He loves to split wood and he'll now have something that'll really split and he can be proud of it (they sure were!)

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

That GransforsBrux will outlive the great-great grandchildren you will never know. My oldest son has already claimed mine as his should I drop dead tomorrow.
