I really haven't followed the T&M threads at all but occasionally read a post or 3. I have a question though since we have to really stay ahead of the Johnsongrass on our TN plots. That stuff just takes over real quick if allowed to. So, do any of you guys that let your fields grow up during summer and that have Johnsongrass in those fields have problems with it outcompeting your T&M seed varieties? I know it will die back as cooler weather sets in and it may not have enough time/soil temp to regenerate in the fall. Just curious about all this. We're gonna do T&M on 1, one acre plot next year and see how it works for us.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

This was my first year throw and mowing our plots in south Alabama.. we have several plots that were thick with Johnson grass. We sprayed them with gly and let er rip.. so far so good and our plots are doing well..

I had some thick grass on one of my plots and tnm didn't work on it. I sprayed the grass and it was still way to thick. I think the idea behind this method is to create bio mass in the soil. My fields that were full of weeds did great but the one that was full of grass was a no go. If your plots have a thick mat of grass on them, then I would till the ground to get good seed contact. I am very impressed with the method but it is not a one size fits all. imo

It be's that way sometimes.

Might try using a grass herbicide along with gly before mowing Clethedom is better on Johnson Grass than gly. Grass herbicides don’t work well without adding surfactant

Clethodim products are in the gramanicide family. Those carry a tad of residual property that can inhibit monocot (wheat, rye, corn etc) from germinating. Not saying it always will but it can and Its on the label
