I’m here, set up in some red oaks. Very few acorns on the ground at my place but maybe I’ll get lucky

I’m on a creek bank that’s thick as thieves with rubs but the brush is thick also. Not exactly where I wanted to be.

First morning in Illinois. I’m set up on a white oak ridge on the back corner of a CRP field.

Been watching these threads for a long time, figured I would join in this morning. Sitting on the back edge of a cutover where it meets a white oak flat, got a few acorns starting to fall. Good Luck everyone

Hunting my Russell Co. clear cut this morning. Set up in a hardwood bottom that bisects the clear cut north to south. Good travel corridor but I haven't heard the first acorn fall. Good luck to all.

I’m surprised I woke to this morning but I’m here. Set up in an oak flat with bedding in front of me. I’m on doe patrol today.

I’m set up on some water oaks between two food plots (planted pines on both sides of this little hollow)...I spooked one deer on my way in, but nothing seen in the daylight yet except skwerls

I just stuck a young doe!! I had two deer to my left for 10 minutes and was about to take a 40 yd shot at the mama doe. All of a sudden, I hear footsteps from my right and another deer had snuck in on top of me. Of course, the other two deer are staring through me at this deer, so I can’t move! I finally saw that it was for sure a doe and was able to get a quick shot at 14 yds with her quartering away. She ran 30 yds and laid down. I think I hit a fuzz back (probably liver).

Had a real nice eight come out and cut the corner of the pasture. If he would have given me about 5 more seconds, I’d a shot him.

I had a doe and 2 fawns walk straight to me and the momma doe picked me off in the tree at 10 steps.

I messed up this morning. My current set up is a NNE face with about 55 yards from me to the waters edge. The wind is blowing from the W NW. At 7:15 I had two bucks skirt the waters edge in ankle deep water. One was a two year but the front buck looked like A nicer deer. He had good tine length and was wide, bout all I could tell. Once they got parallel with me they winded me. I debated on wether to get closer to the water or not. 20 yards closer and he would’ve died.

Forgot to change clock so a little late getting here. Bumped one coming in but that's it dang persimmons are pouring with this wind getting up.

Two young bucks this morn

Just had a fox try and get a turkey lunch. They actually went over and pretty much intimidated him if he had come my way I was going to deflate him.

Sitting on a green field in Sam r had to move due to this wind seen 2 coming in. Gotta get some meat.

Set up where I was last night. Hung the lone wolf quietly this time. We'll see. Rainy and windy.

Sitting in the rain here in walker county. Set up on a trail as it comes out of a nasty thicket. Fresh rub on a tree about 20 yrs out. It's a little bitty tree though

No cell service in my spot this morning. Hunted a ridge on the edge of some pines near a couple of red oaks dropping. Stayed til 10:30 and didn’t see anything but squirrels. It was a tad windy. Came on home afterwards because of the rain moving in.

I got a fat doe this afternoon!

Had a doe come out and feed in pasture while sorting cows lol she didnt care at all we were workin
