We live in a town house with a huge field between us and the Cahaba. Each townhouse owner owns the width of their townhouse down to the river, so we know who owns the property. The townhouse on the end is vacant and has been getting "flipped". Apparently one of the workers saw an opportunity, because he keeps parking at the house. One of the neighbors saw him walking through the field one day in a ghilie suit carrying a chair. When questioned, he said "I'm a biologist". Why the neighbor believed that, who knows rofl

We found a blind, chair, and gut pile this weekend. It just amazes me that someone wanted to kill a deer so bad they will trespass LITERALLY in someone's back yard (or 5 peoples) just to kill a little ol' pine goat.

If you're on here...I know where you can get your blind grin

Some people will do crazy things for a 120” of antlers. Lot of deer get killed every year without regard to the law

I guess assuming is always a bad thing, but I don't think the guy is hurting for money either. So it's not a food/hunger thing.

So when he was spotted in his ghilie suit and carrying his chair, did he have a weapon with him? wonder what he killed it with and where it was if he wasn't toting it in?

There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:

1. All Politicians Are Liars
2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement
3. Taxation Is Theft

It didn't sound like it but I wasn't there. Felt like that would have been mentioned. Also sounds like he was taking a few trips getting all his gear out.

I was wondering why I hadn't seen deer in the back field in a while. I guess now I know why.

Very speculative on his rights and the less you know of his permission the greater his chance of hunting property. Lot of people slipping on and hunting out of town or non-hunters property without permission if they know they are not watching them. I have gained permission to hunt some property like this which was not worth my time due to brown it's down mentality of other people either with or without permission.

Would it be legal to hunt there if he had permission? From your description it doesn't sound like a place you would want to gun hunt, but if he had permission from the owner, would bowhunting be a safe activity? If yes, then kudos to him for being resourceful and thinning the herd.

Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.

Yes it would be. I have no problem with people bow hunting small properties with proper permissions. The blind and seat and gut pile were all on a guys land that he 100% did not have permission on. That guy is the one that told us about it all. He took the stuff and contacted a GW already.

Lol. If I’m slippin and sliding on someone you can bet I ain’t leaving nothing behind. Rookie move bet he will be back and you can catch him. Never, and I mean never go back twice in the same season, advice from Ralph not me. He just knows what works for him

I’m constantly amazed at the level of litter and trash that poachers leave. It’s like they’re not smart people.

Lol. Most 'em leave that chit on purpose.

Sounds like you ought to be bowhunting it, if your land goes all the way to the river

That was my thought too. I’d at least hide a game cam down there to see what I’m missing.

Thomas Jefferson. The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Life is too short to only hunt and fish on weekends!

If being a dumbass was fatal some of you would be on your death bed!
