Every body I’ve talked to that has it swears by it. I would like to have some but I haven’t been able to justify the price.

Probably not a huge aldeer base that actually drops that kinda coin on camo.

Love my Sitka fanatic jacket. I don’t have the light version of it and wish I did because the regular fanatic, I can only wear during the coldest mornings.

Take the Stratus set over the Fanatic Lite if at all possible. The Stratus is windproof and the Fanatic Lite is not. That's a deal breaker for me

Im no rich guy and I have Kuiu, first lite, and sitka... I choose to spend on my hunting vs other things. Plus I quit dipping and that adds to my funds. I will admit, 95% of my hunting is active, not actively sitting. Oh, I do get discounts so, that makes a huge difference on what I purchase.

^^^ This, yes. If you're going to buy Sitka (or KUIU, or First Lite) then spend the extra and get the windproof if available.

Love my Sitka gear. Warm and comfortable.

Never fails to amaze me that folks will brag about dropping $1000-1500 on a rifle/scope that they'll be likely to shoot less than 10x a season but raise cane about spending $500 to keep them warm and on stand longer.

Same here. Some of the best money I've ever spent towards hunting was good boots and better clothing. Its great being able to stay out there in a tree when other folks are going home or huddled up in a shooting house

Main reason I always am looking for the best socks, boots and clothing. When I find anything that's better than what I have for warmth, quietness and wind/rain/cold-proof, I shift. I don't understand WTH anyone would intentionally be cold, wet or uncomfortable.

I’ve pierced mine together over the last few years. When I find a good deal on it I will buy it. I do like the first lite gear better than Sitka especially the obsidian pants... but it’s all better than anything I’ve had.
I can comfortably sit in any weather we have with what I have and it’s not bulky.

I will say if it weren’t for deals I wouldn’t spend that Sitka retail price for it.. it’s great gear but I wouldn’t pay full price.

I have the fanatic lite jacket and bibs as well as the regular fanatic. Love both but if I had it to do all over again I wouldn’t buy the lite. Not a lot of situations where I’m wearing it. I find myself carrying it more than wearing because I get so hot walking to stand.

Where are y’all finding it sale? Every time I see an add or discount site it’s always the same price.

For me, its military discounts. Leo adventures is used by military/law enforcement. There's also Promotive. Camofire ran Sitka gear recently and "hunt of the day" has been running it as well. Just gotta hope they have your size. One GOOD place to get deals is the outlet stores on certain companies web sites. I look at the KUIU outlet weekly probably.

Makes them almost affordable with that discount. I bought a few pieces this year. Was gonn get fanatic bibs and jacket got the bibs, but they haven't had a jacket in the last two months and said they wasn't getting any till next spring so I bought a Celsius jacket last week.

Two Sitka items I recommend even if you don't want to buy the bibs-jackets-understuff-apparel.

One is this: https://www.sitkagear.com/products/mens/fanatic-beanie/elevated-ii

It's the Fanatic Beanie with Gore Windstopper. You cannot walk around with it, like to a stand, or you'll broil like a Publix rotisserie yardbird. It's comfortable, has an extended design to go over your ears and neck, and that flap can be flipped up.

Sitka has several versions of this including the Incinerator GTX, Hudson GTX, Dakokta, Boreal, Blizzard, etc. This is the main page - https://www.sitkagear.com/products/mens?filter=headwear

Yep, they're what some would consider too expensive and that's fine. I have a box with everything from cheap polyester to thin fleece to thin Merino beanies and will take this Sitka beanie in freezing temps over all of them.

The other is this neck gaiter - https://www.sitkagear.com/products/mens/neck-gaiter/elevated-ii

I bought one in Missouri a few years ago for a hunt and now have three of them. They're warm, quiet and help a lot.

I love the gear, but I haven’t dropped the coin on it yet.

I think 99% of time in Bama it’s overkill as far as dealing with really cold weather.

I have the Stratus set, Fanatic hoodie and base layers. By far the best hunting clothing I have ever owned. Have worn in KS and OK with windchill in single digits and never got cold. Just added vest between fanatic hoodie and stratus. I tried several different garments and found Stratus to be most versatile by far.
