I spend some time squirrel hunting Yates, and have stumbled upon some very good sign there. Pretty good scrape lines and some giant rubs. My dogs run right by that stuff searching for squirrel sent, but I see it there. Yea it can be some tough hunting out there. Lots of pressure as well accessing it from a boat on the west side makes it better most people dont stray far off the road coming in from a boat gets you away from the pressure

Looks like Yates lake is getting a lot of votes I’m taking it Some of y’all will be there for the gun hunts? Negative ghostrider
There is 2 different high fence. 1 small and one big! Mine was free range in the big pen and was not a breeder buck. Why does it have to be twisted around??

Southwood hasn't chimed in yet but him and Cahaba. He has killed some good ones there

Which wma is a giant coming off of in bama this year? I’m thinking Bankhead will have another bruiser this season. I think Lowndes will have a giant come off it as well. There are monsters taken off a lot of places each year. The real guys aint gonna say anything. Skyline is due for some dude to post up. If i get bull winkle this year, i sho aint seen nothin! I tell the guys at work, some close buddies and thats it. But even then i wont say where. They know what lands i hunt but they aint got a clue where im at. I got 2 guys that i share that with. They help me and i help them and we are like family. We dont even post old pics on fb or anything

Cahaba. Big deer in ther for sure. Thing is you have to be willing to canu to get to them. They are ther if you put in the work. I have a buddy coming in late season who wants to kill a Alabama giant and I’m canuing him to my spot in December. All I can say but Cahaba has some of the biggest bucks in Bama I've never thought of that. I have a SOT kayak. I'd have to have some floatable gun case just as peace of mind before I tried, but getting to something otherwise inaccessible by kayak would be pretty awesome.
