I got picked as a Hunter for the Upper State Game Sanctuary SOA hunt this Thurs.- Sunday. Hopefully, they will be walking around like Cade's Cove out there!

I'm hunting at my club iMaplesvillie this afternoon.The
Wind is pretty stiff ,I'm trying nose jammer to cover my

Good job Checker,. I have been hunting every evening, and a couple
of mornings. I saw 6 does in a clear-cut yesterday afternoon,but the
we're to far for a shot. I back after them this morning in a beautiful
hardwood bottom, but haven't seen anything yet. But I'm gonna stay
After them , maybe one will slip up.

Saw a young 8pt this morning and bumped a couple does off a field walking in this evening. Hunting in the morning then heading to the house

Saw a bunch of does Sunday evening, all out of range. I'll be back after them next week.

I guess we still need a team name. I'll throw a few out, If ya'll come up with any more post em' up, I'm good with whatever ya'll decide.

Hey, guys I have been hunting 4 evening s and 2 mornings.
I missed a doe on October 21st, and then Saturday I stuck a doe
but couldn't find her after 2 hours she got on to some private property.
I like second and. 26. for the team name.But i it doesn't matter to me.

Well fellas I forgot to get the required pics. I’ll be hunting Thursday evening through Saturday and will hopefully bust another one.

Ok men I'm hunting this afternoon. Ahead of this front coming tomorrow. Sure wish so had went
this morning, I went to get my climber to try a new spot, and there were 3 huge scrapes and rubs
We're the deer did last night or this morning.
Needless to say but I left my stand hanging there. I would be Hunting that stand this afternoon if I would have had my bow with me. But I'm hunting a new greenfield that looks promising. We shall see.

I had a spike come out right under my feet, but with the
3 buck rule all I could do was watch him.If I had a spear and it
Was legal I could have stapped him.

I did not get anything this weekend. From what the ranger said there were only 5 deer taken on all of the Stimpson property. We fought Easterly winds a full moon and just came up empty! On the good side I met a couple of Aldeer folks and learned that 4 wheelers are allowed, but the ranger forgot to tell me. The roads were sandy and when wet were like quicksand. I got to look at about 10-15% of my section. Some of the roads were washed out to a point I wouldn't take the chance trying to drive through because it was semi-washed away. The one deer I saw was taken by a team 13 member. It was a nice 104lb doe if I remember. I am going to the range with a buddy and sight in my new Ruger.44 magnum rifle Wednesday morning so I will be ready for the opening of rifle season!

I can confirm this kill! I saw it with my own eyes. I'd give him a 8.75, nice shot placement good sized doe... Congrats

I'm good with that name.,I have been hunting a good bit.
I stuck a doe the 22 and, but could not find her. I am seeing
Alot of deer but we can only shoot 6 point or better on my
Club. I have 300 acres just south of Clanton I am saving
for gun season. I have been baiting them all summer. I have
Some nice bucks on camera there. .So killing deer won't be a
Problem. With the 3 buck rule now days I want to make sure
My 3 are good deer.

Had a good evening in Chilton County. Four mini bucks and a doe all within bow range. Spike, 4pt, 6pt, & 7pt.
All the racks looked like this guys. Just some with extra points.

I'm still Hunting , been doing a little stuff around the house

Hopefully I get to stick a good deer. But if a doe presents itself
I'm gonna think about it real hard. I have some good bucks there
So we will have to see. But when gun season starts, it's on like a

Hunted Saturday morning and evening and Sunday evening and got skunked. We had a lot of midday movement this weekend.

Popped a fat doe on our farm in Chilton Co.
This was my son’s second hunt and he had an absolute blast!

How old is your boy cleckler? I have a 4 year old daughter that has been begging me to take her. I'm going to pretty soon

He turned 4 in April. Way too young to shoot a deer but he loves going. I bring an extra backpack with his tablet, headphones, snacks, drinks, extra battery pack. First time we just slipped in the shooting house an hour before dark but He made it all day yesterday.
We went to town for a burger and fries then back to a piece of the property we don’t really hunt. I brought a milk jug and a 10/22 and started teaching gun safety, looking through a scope, etc. He fired off 200 rounds smiling ear to ear! We both took about an 45 min nap in the truck then went back to the shooting house for the evening hunt.

Best part is Mama got a day by herself and was very grateful for that.

Ended up seeing two bucks and two does Sunday morning but I didn’t have a good shot on either.

Nice, I oversee 160 acres between Billinsley and Enterprise cummitty.
I also hunt 80 acres off Enterprise Rd near the old Grandview store that
burned down..I have been letting them 2 places sit
until a couple weeks. I'm in a club in Lawley.I have been seeing alot of deer
Mostly does and spikes. I have some nice bucks on camera, hoping
for a couple of them.

Ok guys fixing to go into My best spot. I have ben saveing
this spot all season, I have 7 nice bucks comeing in on a regular basis
due to my cameras . Fingers crossed.

Hey guys am I the only one hunting

No but sometimes with work and a pregnant wife you don’t get to hunt as much. I’m going this weekend and then I’ve got 11 days off around Christmas/New Year’s that should line up good with our rut.

I've been 3-4 times with my bow, seeing deer, just nothing in range. Just finished our last BBQ contest for the year so i'll be after them more. Good luck everyone!

Your not missing to much right now.I was seeing
alot of deer. Most of them were does with fawns.
I have had 3 different spikes walk directly under
my stand. All 3were at different tracts of property.
I have yet to see a rack buck, but have several on trail
Cameras.

My travel schedule for work is lineing up pretty good for the end of this month and I should get several evening hunts in each week. Let’s finish strong.

Saw a decent buck yesteday morning but was about 75 yards to far out.

I've passed on several bucks this year that were borderline shooters for our club but have only seen two that I'd definitely shoot that got into the thick stuff before I could shoot. I'm planning on heading back down this weekend for a couple of days.
