and also.

for example if wheat is 100lbs per acre and Rye is 100lbs per acre. If you plant 1 acre with both wheat and rye, should you still do both at 100lbs per acre or cut it in half?

I plant 60 total pounds of small grains. Usually 20 each wheat, oats & rye. Plus 2 pounds each Chickasaw and Redlands clovers. 5-10 lbs Crimson and 2 lbs Diakon radishes. Same mix for 35+ years. Works great to attract deer, turkeys and is also an excellent soil builder

I planted this today:
45# cosaque black oats
45# abruzzi rye
14# crimson clover
5# diakon radish

With 18-46-46 fert. I know it's overkill but I had it in the blender so that's what's zappining.

I have always applied 300-400 per acre of 13-13-13. Plus, I hit them with AN during the latter part December. BUT, if your PH is not correct you might as well not put out any fertilizer unless you just like throwing money down the drain.
