Got out my ecaller tonight and actually had some coyotes answering serenade howls.
It's almost time to bury some steel. If I get the time this year it'll be the first time in 3 years. I can't wait.

I've caught 7 since Sunday. A lot of young females but one big male and an adult female. The big male came off a urine post yesterday and had a female pup in the remake this morning,
"Cull" is just another four letter word...

3 years since you've run traps for yotes? Yes sir! My work schedule just hasn't allowed me the off time to put more than a few traps out. I like running big lines. I've got over 200 traps (probably closer to 300) and would love the time off to actually get them all out and run them for a couple weeks.

Wondering how it will affect things if the alpha male is left and no female? Will a female move into his territory of will he search out a new home with a receptive female ?
