He’s backkkkkk.
I don’t care if you hate him, but Tiger being relevant again is the single greatest thing that could happen for the sport of golf. There's no doubt about that. The scene at the 18th was pretty cool. Like they were saying, it's right up there with the biggest comebacks in sports history. I was rooting for him the whole way. Hitting rock bottom, and rising back to the top, is no small feat.

I don't want my son's looking up to him. This country sure does have a short memory. Couldn’t agree more, he was and always will be in my opinion a sorry human being for the way he acted and things he did.

I don't want my son's looking up to him. This country sure does have a short memory. Then they don’t need to watch any professional sport, ever. I would bet the majority of pro athletes are terrible people. You don’t have to look up to him to appreciate that he’s the greatest golfer of all time.

I would bet the majority of pro athletes are terrible people. You don’t have to look up to him to appreciate that he’s the greatest golfer of all time. He's not the greatest of all time..... Period. Technology has made golf an untrue game now. Hell, at 1 point i was a scratch golfer. I tried to hit a 1970's 7 iron back when I could play. I could hit it 125 yds at best and it could only hit it straight about 10% of the time. I could hit my 7 iron 165 to within a 10 yd circle. Hogan, and Jack were playing with clubs that were made of wood. These guys walk in a factory and get shafts that are tested to the .000000000001 degree of frequency of what a computer that has analyzed a swing form 1000 different directions. The balls are perfect, The greens are perfect, the sand in the bunkers is perfect. Shorten the course back up and put hickory or steal shafts on clubs that have a sweet spot the size of a pea and let them compete, Then I might concede, Until then Tiger is the best golfer in this era, but not of all time.

No, until he surpasses the 18 majors of Nicklaus, he will be 2nd best. I am glad to see his Improved attitude, but his past actions are hard to get past.
The talent on today’s field is 10x what it was in Nicklaus’ day. He was an amazing golfer, but there wasn’t near the competition as there is today.

Nicklaus had 48 top-three finishes at Slams, twice as many as Woods

Was told by more than one old golfer that Bobby Jones would win 50 majors with today's equipment. Eldrick is still a scummy human being.

Golf does not need Tiger. I am glad he won. The PGA and Country Club Golf shoot themselves in the foot. Ridiculous green fees, tee time requirements, members ruining it for the guest golfer. I have seen a lot of empty or near empty parking lots at courses this summer. I play all over and some courses appreciate the business. I will shut up now. What do you consider a ridiculous green fee? Think about keeping up a few acres of green field as expensive, try about 100 acres of pristine grass that has to be fertilized every 6 weeks, Sprayed with something continually, watered and cut nearly daily. I could go on and on......
