Hard to beat a Maglite 2-D cell LED with a belt holster to carry it in. Shopping strictly the numbers that is a terrible value. 23oz(HEAVY) 168 lumens(WEAK) $27(Not bad) http://www.maglite.com/shop/maglite-2-cell-d-led-flashlight.htmlYou can something that is way more powerful, weighs 75% less, multiple intensity settings, fits in a pocket for similar money. They make good batons though!

I carry a Streamlight stylus with me everywhere...It's the size of a fat ink pen, and uses 2 AAA batteries. It's bright too! I’ve got 2 of these I carry daily. One in my pocket, the other in a bag. The first one I’ve been using about 6 years. Hard to beat IMO.

Stream light microstream uses 1aaa and carries nicely in the pocket, great for walking and close work under 10’. About $20 give or take.
If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

Bushnell makes good lights I have 3 different ones of different sizes they have low high and red..i also have a 2 d mag led that sucker is as bright as a small spotlight not sure if the lumen rating is right
