Ruger New Blackhawk .45 LC when I carry. I'm hunting with it the rest of the season!

Hi-point Luger 9mm. I know I know. When it jams I can throw it at them and knock em out. I've put 250 rounds through it and it hasn't jammed 1 time. Just keep in the truck though. Don't carry too much.

I carry because I feel like i need to be ready for any situation at any time. I am in the military and an MP so i think that has something to do with it. Plus if a hog gets after me i can at least attempt to fight back.

If you meet me in Wal-Mart, know that I'm not defensless.

I always carry except during rifle season most of the time. I figure my rifles will kill just a fast as my pistol

Unless you are carrying an AR as a hunting rifle with an aim point or EOTECH i would say carry your pistol no matter what. Gonna be real hard to hit something with a bolt action rifle with a scope in the situation you need to defend your life... Those are usually close quarters and with a variable zoom scope that is going to be useless IMO

I am confident enough in my training that I am just as deadly with my rifle as I am with my pistol......I went thru building after building in the big sandbox in operation iraqi watch carrying an M-4 with an acog scope, but to each his own ....I aint mad at ya for feeling you need added protection in the woods

So you carry an AR as a hunting rifle ? I have done the same thing and still if given a choice between my hunting rifle and my pistol I would choose my pistol... Because none of my hunting rifles have a collapsible but stock or back up iron sights as the ACOG and M4 do.
