After some investigation it seems that Howard relied heavily on medications to keep him calm. He had some bad mental issues that caused him to be explosive. The wife should have been more focused on getting her common law husband calmed down and inside instead of trying to get the next viral video. All kinds of stupid went on in this situation.

Box's profile is public for those on FB. You can do some digging and see where Howard had some issues prior to all this.

I’d say ol Howard had some loose connections up top for sure, he wasn’t quite the bada$$ he thought he was.

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

There are a lot of stupid people in this world, now there is one less. The youngest one better get him a few gallons of KY Jelly and carry it to prison with him. They will make him a boy-toy in the big house.

Don't know if the guy swung the baseball bat at the old man or not BUT after the old guy shot twice, the old man's son shot the guy with the shotgun long after he was no longer a threat. He's gonna be somebody's girlfriend even if the old man gets off.

I firmly believe that a double gallows should be constructed on the East Lawn of The White House. Politicians who willfully and shamelessly violate their oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America should be swiftly tried and, upon conviction, publicly hanged at sunup the day after conviction. If multiple convicts are to be hanged they can choose with whom to share the gallows or names shall be drawn from the hangman's hat to be hanged 2 at a time.

Well, he stood his ground, which he had the legal right to, and look what it got him. Like someone said, a bad confluence of idiots.

The doofus that was screaming his head off was given several exit opportunities but couldn't just leave it alone.

If these people were neighbors I'm sure it wasn't the first run in they've had with each other and considering the mentality of all involved the outcome isn't surprising

I don't think the victim was in the wrong, except for his bad language he was just protecting his property and family, the other two are premeditated murderers.

The victim was dumb the guy could have walked away 50 times. I do not think the older man who shot first will be convicted. The younger dud with the shotgun should be charged.

In the video they state that they are “standing at a dumpster in an alley”.

The article stated they were neighbors but had never spoken to each other until the time of the shooting

I think the victim was on the shooters property.

Also the victims brother tossed him a bat and he was coming at them. The old man I figure can go with stand your ground. But the son will be wearing a mop wig.

He did tell the guy with the gun he would kill him.

1. He told both of them he would kill them.
2. The old man told him several times to back off and gave him the opportunity to walk away and live another day.
3. The guy was obviously bigger and more menacing then either of them.
4. The guy then apparently came after the old man and possibly both of them. (Hard to tell from the video.)
5. Only after all that did the old man and his son actually pull the trigger.

It honestly would surprise me if either of the shooters (I hate that word) was sentenced to prison time, but in this day and age you never know.

There are several times that the old Irishguy has gotten out of my car highly pissed off, walked up to someone who has shot me a bird or cussed me and read them the riot act standing at their driver's door and told them to get out of the car. I look back now and realize that at anyone of those times I could have just as easily been shot and killed. I have since learned to pick my battles wisely. Life is too short to get worked up about silly asshats, and it's even shorter if you get shot and killed because you are acting like a badass.

Too bad that guy never went to any anger management training, he might be alive today.

"That's the thing about killin' a man. You take everything he's got and everything he's gonna' have."

That video is so sad on so many levels. Everyone of them made poor decisions.
