Do you carry when hunting? If so what do you carry?

Just to ask a dumb question, why?

Not picking a fight here, just honestly curious as to why one would carry a sidearm while deer hunting. Unless you always always have one, of course.

I got a pistol and a permit but, just carry a big ol' knife. Lighter that even my smallest pistol. It's all about weight and comfort these days. Figure if somebody want a shoot me they will, and if'n a animal wants to attack me he'll git stuck.

XDM Compact in .45 ACP.

Don't confuse my user name with any sort of alphabet faggotry.

It only stands for drag racing, and Route 66 was my home track back in the day.

I carry for multiple reasons and I can actually pull my sidearm faster than I can get my rifle off my shoulder.

.380 Smith and Wesson Bodyguard . Always have it on my side at all times. My wife asked me one time, why do I always carry a pistol everywhere I go, and what was I scared of? I told her not a d#%n thing.

Carrying an M16, with 7 full mags and 40 pounds of flak & kevlar, everywhere, every day, made me appreciate my bow. smile
