What are the laws for using lasers for hunting? I guess I am referring to having a rangefinder on your bow sight or Gun Scope? How does this apply to Garmin Xero as well?

It is unlawful to have attached to your weapon( bow, rifle or pistol) any device which projects a visible light or laser forward. A rangefinder would be legal since you can’t see the laser. It is also unlawful to use any electronic device which allows you to see the the dark(night vision devices).
Looks like the Garmin Xero is good to go. It does not cast a constant laser forward. Just an invisible one for a millisecond for ranging purposes.
