They were few and far between this afternoon, but they were good fish. The biggest of the evening. Nearly 16" 1lb 12 oz. Biggest white crappie I've had in my boat. I honestly believe that a tennis ball would have easily fit in it's mouth. When that fish feeds up for winter, I'm sure it will easily go over 2 lbs.

Thanks guys. I'm ready. The weather the last 2 days has been ready. The bait fish are up in the creeks in massive numbers, but the crappie aren't ready. Very, very few and far between. Went to a different creek yesterday and got skunked. All we caught were 4 little yellow bass. I rank catching yellow bass about one notch higher on the fun scale than getting hung on a stump.

Thanks. I've been thrilled with the success that I've had. I had one guy take me several times and 2 other guys once each to show me how to catch them. I had never seriously fished for crappie until about this time last year. I don't single pole fish much anymore. I have too much success spider rigging and trolling to stop doing that, plus my right shoulder is a mess and it hurts me to single pole fish all day, so it all worked out good.

Thanks. That's probably a good idea on the name change, because after the tornado scattered my hives across the pasture, I got out of the bee business. smile

I sure hate to hear that!! At least you've got plenty of crappie to keep you busy!

Oh no, I don't have them figured out. PRB has them figured out, and he ain't talking. LOL

I can catch them shallow but after and before that, is just a guess for me.
