I will admit that I don't claim to know very much about CWD, but from what I have read on this website from comments made by people that do claim to know a good deal about it am I correct to say that importation of live deer for breeding purposes and for high fence operations are the main threat? If that's the case why not ban deer farms, deer breeding, and high fence operations? Do they even transport in live deer anymore? I'm pretty sure if they do is it illegal. Have any deer farms in Alabama tested positive for CWD? I would think the way it may spread here is people hunting out of state disposing of the carcass in the wrong way. How about all these taxidermist that mounted deer from infected areas? I know of one taxidermist that buried all of the scraps in his pasture for years.

He wouldn't be the only legislator who has or has had a high fence.
He'll be the highest ranking, only a heart beat away from being the Guv. The Lt Governor of Alabama may be the weakest, least powerful, elected position in the state. Only use is to break a tie in the legislature, which never happens. Only becomes powerful if the governor assumes room temperature, which is possible with the old goat who will be in office.

Mr. hojo is correct, history shows the Lt. Guv stands a pretty good chance of becoming THE Guv in Alabama because Guv went to jail.
