Sloooow till 4 then all hell broke loose. If the other guys shot like we did there should have been close to 800-1000 birds killed on the field we hunted. I quit before 6.

Had a dang good hunt and day altogether. My little girl was a trooper and dealt with the heat to spend time with pops!

Best dove shoot I can remember. Slow from noon to 3:30 or 4, then it was on.

Good shoot today. Dog did excellent for 2 yr old. Picked up a limit for me. Didn’t lose a single one in the grown up lake bed behind me. Me and the old lady at bottom.

One of the Best shoots I’ve ever been on. Spent the day with good friends, made some new ones, excellent food and couldn’t get our guns loaded quick enough for the next wave.

Heck of a day.

Spill it Beadlescomb! If what u said is true and they turned it under the week before, and someone turned y’all in, I’d love to know the crybaby that did it. I know illegal is illegal, but I wonder how he found the bait to turn y’all in? Trespassing?? Also, if they hunt close by, they screwed themselves more than likely due to not keeping birds flying.

Glad some of y’all had good shoots! Ours was pretty slow. A buddy and I killed 9 between us, but really made our shots count. High on the field might have been 6 or 7 birds. My girlfriend was able to shoot a few times, so that was the main thing!

I’ve just about come to the conclusion paid hunts are a waste of time. Think I’m gonna just start doing my own little spot on a power line I have.

I'm done with it too much bulldoodoo to worry about to have a 100% legal field. It's definetly not worth what you get out of it

Tell us your story beadlescomb. What all happened?

4 wardens rolled up at 4... Said the field was under investigation. They checked our license, guns, took the birds that were killed and got everybodies info. Nobody could leave until they were finished, which was about 2 hours.

Everybody was legal and we didnt get a ticket but when we were leaving, the guys that put on the hunt were still talking with the wardens. It looked like they were getting serial #s on some guns (not sure if they were confiscated) The guys that put on the hunt suspect the neighboring club called the wardens... The neighbor being a member on the forum and from what I gather, is wanting the land they have

So did they say specifically what was wrong with the field? Also anybody who turns in a neighbor ought to have the nuts to tell us their side.

This is what happened. I'm not gonna name names quite yet but he knows who he is they have a club/lease off of hwy 25 near mile marker 23 that connects with flatwoods hunting club.

They turned the field over 7 days before the shoot instead of 10 is what I understand. The only thing I found out there was sprouting wheat
