I picked up one of those little yildiz 28 gauge and all the Winchester AA super sports I could find (7boxes) they are 3/4 ounce 7.5 shot at 1300fps.what is your favorite dove load in the 28

We will burn that bridge when we get there

All dad will shoot is #9 for doves no matter the gauge. I wish I could find some 8 shot local

This may sound stupid but shooting it beside my 12 gauge today I needed to lead the target less with the 28 than my 12 both loads were the same velocity

A 28ga is a purist gun. Very over looked.

I like the AAs, but bought a couple of flats of the B&P heavy dove and really like them.
15/16 oz of shot gives you a few more pellets without any extra recoil.

I always take two guns afield. I prefer to shoot a beretta silver 28 but if the birds don’t cooperate they get the 12.

I loaded #9s in my 16ga last year as it was all the shot I could find. I was very impressed with them.

If it were a 20 gauge, I might would be your huckleberry. I already have one, but I am thinking very seriously about adding another to cut down as my primary turkey gun. Need to find another good deal on a 20 gauge with the black/rubberized stocks like the one I have. Best feeling shotgun I have ever carried.

I'm glad to hear you like that little gun. I would love to have a nice little 28 gauge to shoot at doves and/or rabbits.
