Jacksonville Jaguars' Blake Bortles helps deliver meals to officers working mass shooting Blake Bortles, quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, showed his appreciation for the brave officers who reponded to Sunday's deadly shooting at a local "Madden NFL 19" gaming tournament. The NFl star and his foundation provided first responders with hot meals at two different times on Monday. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Bortles "paid for meals for everyone on scene at Jacksonville Landing." http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2018/...s-to-officers-working-mass-shooting.html

I bet he's a lonely guy in the locker room now. Might even be some missed blocks on game day.

There are a few good ones in the NFL.
I have a buddy at work who knows an NFL player. The kid played as Saks High School in the Eastern Part of the state. My buddy said his daughter and three other kids were inseparable friends in high school and he became close with every single one of them. One of those kids was 2018 Kansas City Chiefs rookie Tremon "Tre" Smith, and my buddy said the four of them spent almost every evening at his house. My friend was telling me about this kid one day and he was the type that performed community service projects his entire childhood. He was fortunate enough to have a car and would ride around town picking up students that didn't have a ride to school or whatever circumstance they faced. He grew up in church and was always active in church activities. Out of High School he only had a handful of offers from smaller schools like La Monroe and he wound up going to Central Arkansas. He was drafted by the Chiefs in the 6'th round (196'th player taken overall). After he completed his degree he went to a training facility in Baton Rouge and told my buddy the Chiefs were not going to regret drafting him. He worked his tail off training for a couple of months and then showed up at rookie camp and wowed the coaches. He's now the second team CB and lead kickoff and punt returner for the Chiefs as a rookie. When he signed his contract he immediately gave 20% of it to the church that he grew up in and bought his parents a new house.
My buddy called him week before last on the cell and he was in the locker room getting dressed for a pre season game. We talked to him for about 20 minutes and he was as polite a kid as I've ever met. It was yes sir and no sir the entire conversation. He told my buddy and I that they didn't have any games in the South this year but if the Chiefs made the playoffs he wanted us to drive up and he would get us a couple of tickets and meet up with us after the game for a bite to eat. I certainly was impressed in just the little time I interacted with him.

I just watched an interview with Jim Brown on Fox and Friends and it was surprising. He is a Trump fan and he says the blacks need to help themselves. Not surprised. Jim Brown has always been trying to gets the black community to support themselves. He understands that the the welfare state is just another form of enslavement.
