I agree we need immigration, but spare me the huddled masses crap. In the early years of this country it needed bodies.Lots and lots of cheap disposable bodies to do menial and dangerous work. The immigrants fit the bill and back then no one was giving them free food, shelter , education, medical, anything. I agree with BradB's post, and would add:

1. When it comes to LEGAL immigration the USA is the most generous country in the world.

Through legal means the USA lawfully admits over ONE MILLION legal immigrants each year.
Which is more then the European Union, the Russian Federation, China and India COMBINED.

2. Throughout our nation's history the leaders understood, because they had brains, that legal immigration to the USA should be limited to people from
the UK and Europe. They did not want Balkanization that leads to conflict. And they did not want any stinking Muslims.

3. Then in the 1960s the Democrats got the federal immigration laws changed to make it so legal immigration emphasized immigration from the African and Asian and Muslim countries - because they would all become Democrat voters AND they would have no respect or care or concern for our Anglo-American historical, cultural, political, religious and legal system and traditions. So they would not have any respect or care for our Sacred God given Constitution.

And the Dhimmis want to speed the process of disintegration of our country by having an open door no border policy for the Mexican and Central Americans.

Well now that Trump is president, they are going bananas over anything and everything because he, and we, threaten their vision for America and their gravy train. That's why there is such a big push to protect the illegals, not require voter identification, automatically register them to vote when they get a drivers license, not secure the borders etc. They know unequivocally now, that they do not have the votes that they thought they had in their pocket and the only way to get the votes needed is to allow additional immigrants into this country that will register democrat in exchange for EBT cards, free housing, free medical and the 200 other "handout" programs that they push.

Anyone in the world should be able to come here, get a work visa, and go to work (pay taxes). Period. We NEED people to come here for work. Our economy would literally collapse if they didn't come here. Any barriers to immigration is a tax on the American people just as any other trade barrier is.

The problem is the immigration system SUCKS. We've made it virtually impossible for anyone to get here. If we streamlined the system, and made working and paying taxes easier, there wouldn't be "illegal" immigrants. The real issue is the social safety nets: free school, free healthcare (emergency rooms), and welfare.


What makes this conversation funny is that I would estimate that 95% of the people in this thread are descended from illegal immigrants from Europe. Through divine providence, we all happen to have been born in the greatest country in the world and just because your illegal immigrant relatives got here first, you feel morally superior to those who are trying to come after. I would rather have (10) immigrants than 1 millennial. That's the honest truth.
